Three of us boys from California wound up in Northern Uganda. We saw the incredible horror and encountered heart breaking suffering, especially among the children who sleep on the streets for fear of abduction.

We first told our stories of experience in Northern Uganda in a documentary called “Invisible Children”. It explains our discovery of the longest of any wars in Africa, and night commuters flee from the rebel leader Joseph Kony. Because of this war of madness, people are living with no jobs and children can’t go to school.
僕らは北ウガンダでの経験を「見えない子供たち」と題したドキュメンタリー映画にした。アフリカで最も長い戦争と、抵抗軍指導者ジョセフ・コニーの誘拐から逃れるために夜間市街へ移動する子供たち「ナイトコミューター」を記録した。この狂気の戦争のために、人々には仕事がなく、子供たちは学校に行けない。
To restore hope in war-torn area, we created microeconomic bracelet program. This campaign give the name and the face of the children affected by the war. The proceeds from the bracelets will go back to Uganda to provide children with mentors and put them into schools.
戦争で破壊されたこの場所に希望を戻すため、僕らはマイクロ経済に則ったブレスレットプログラムを発足した。それぞれの色にそれぞれの子供の物語がある。キャンペーンに子供たちの顔と名前が与えられた。ウガンダに還元された収益金は、子供たちのメンター、そして子供たちが学校へ行くために使われる。
We then recruited other youth to spend a several months on an adventurous road trip on RVs, showing this documentary across the United States in a national tour. Over 2000000 people saw the film, many were moved to act.

And to capture their energy, we created a nation wide event called “The Global Night Commute”. On April 29th 2006, 80000 Americans left their homes and slept in their downtown districts, just like the invisible children in Northern Uganda.

Bobby, Laren and I will never forget the first night we saw the kids sleeping at the bus park. It changed our lives forever. We never realized so many children could go unseen, that so many beautiful faces could be invisible.

In 2006, we night commuted to end night commuting. In 2007, we displaced ourselves to bring home the displaces. And in 2009, we will abduct ourselves to rescue Joseph Kony’s child soldiers. This is The Official Rescue Plan. It’s not just about one event, one cause, one war.. it’s about a bigger idea…JUSTICE.
2006年に僕らは、ナイトコミュートをなくすためにナイトコミューターになった。2007年に僕らは、家から引き離された子供たちを取り戻すために、僕ら自身を家から引き離した。そして2009年、僕らはジョセフ・コニーに誘拐された子供たちを救出するために、僕ら自身を誘拐する。これは「オフィシャル救出計画」だ。一回のイベントではない、一つの問題ではない、一つの戦争ではない、もっと大きな目的..正義のために。
Our culture is determined by three forces: money, media, moguls. It’s a fact: money makes the world go ‘round, the media decides what stories in the world are worth telling, and moguls compete for the attention of the media, which makes them both money. And this cycle repeats itself over and over again. Defining, and redefining our priorities.
僕らの社会は三つの力で動いている。金、メディア、有力者。金が世界を動かしているのは事実だ。メディアはどんな物語が報道に値するか決める。そして有力者はメディアの注目を争う。それで双方金儲けができる。このサイクルはずっと繰り返される。これによって物事の優先度が幾度も幾度も書き換えられる。
The truth is: they need us. And when the masses take action, they have to listen, and history is rewritten. A slave is freed, a vote is counted, a wall is torn down, and a revolution begins. A revolution for love, a revolution for freedom, on April 25th.

You will abduct yourself and wait to be rescued by the cultural forces: money, media, moguls. You will meet at abduction site and walk to an LRA Camp and wait, like the abducted children are waiting.
